A Formal Introduction

Hello all,

My name is Barry Mohan, I’ve been trading full time now since the beginning of 2015. I’ve been trading part time for two years before that. Before full time day trading I owned a construction company and have been in the construction industry for 15 years. When I started trading, I’m sure I was like most people; I thought this was an easy way to make fast cash. No one told me however it’s actually the easiest way to lose money if you don’t know what you’re doing.

I’m sure that I can relate to a lot of traders in some way or the other. I’m sure that my mistakes in the past are probably the ones you’re making now. I’m sure that maybe just a word of encouragement from a person that have been there will mean a lot. This is the general gist for this entry. I want to encourage traders to hold on. I want to emphasize traders to push through their fears and weaknesses and focus on learning more. If you think that every trade you take goes against you, I’ve been there. If you think that every trade you take fails, I’ve been there. If you watch your account dwindle down to nothing and spend nights worrying about it, I’ve been there.

So what do you do now? You’ve found something in trading that you love, that you’re addicted too. You know that deep down you can do this or you’ve realized that this isn’t for you. Where do you stand? You have to know where you want to be before you even start the journey. I’m not specifically talking about financial gains, you need to ask yourself if this a career for you? Is this a part time gig? These are important questions that you need to ask yourself. Is this something that you can see yourself committing 100% to, or is it another fun thing to explore?

When I started trading part time, I invested in penny stocks. I saw traders increasing their portfolios by two and three times. I had no idea how to trade. I read a few blogs and watched some videos that I found off YouTube about trading. I did not understand why I was taking trades and I followed a lot of people on twitter. I made every rookie mistake that you can imagine. In a very short span of time I washed away thousands of dollars. I spent so much time yelling at my computer and blaming anyone other than myself for my mistakes. If you think you’re the only one that’s been through this stuff, trust me you’re not. After all my mistakes, I had to take some time off from trading and began to learn. Funny thing is that there aren’t a lot of traders that will help you for free these days. I didn’t have the money then to pay for anything else. So I started to review every trade I took and how and where I went wrong. Once I started realizing where I went wrong and admitted to myself that I’ve been wrong, things started to change.

My changes did not happen over night. Not at all. I spent days and nights studying the charts and understanding how they worked. I followed every single candle up and down and understood their language; oh yes to do speak, very clearly too. So when I was ready to take another chance I sold my truck and used that money to trade. My success since have been incredible and don’t see any slowing down in the future. I never stop learning, I never give up and an I never fail.

I just wanted to share some of myself with you guys. I’m just a regular guy that have learned how to tap into the limitless supply of the stock market. And I intend to share that knowledge with anyone that would like to learn. It takes dedication and hard work. I’m not by any means a millionaire YET, and I know that I can relate to you if you’re reading this still.
